JOHN D. MONTANTI was appointed assistant general counsel and corporate secretary in May 2025.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Montanti served as assistant general counsel & assistant secretary at Marathon Oil Corporation. From 2009 to 2019, he served in positions of increasing responsibility at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, including associate general counsel and assistant secretary. He also served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Western Midstream Partners, LP from March 2019 until its acquisition by Occidental Petroleum Corporation.
Mr. Montanti began his career as an associate at Akerman LLP.
Mr. Montanti holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami Herbert Business School, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.
